Blueshirt Nation? Jeez, Boston rip-off much? Can't say I like the phrase much.

Dubi, do you think JJ will play tonight for some minutes on the powerplay ????

By the way, Bob Crawford the Pack radio announcer is not the same as the former player Bob Crawford, who runs a skating rink here in Ct.

The distinction isn't always made clear in ads and articles and such about the team, for some reason, so it's an easy mistake to make.

I'm not sure where we are supposed to send questions, so I will post mine here. Hope this is suitable:

What is the history behind the rule that you cannot send a Junior-eligible player to the AHL? Why do they have to go back to Junior hockey?

I admit that I don't really know anything about this and that's why I am asking. The only conclusion I can come up with is that Junior hockey made this agreement to keep their competition level high and keep butts in the seats....(but to the detriment of the players themselves). This topic has been discussed lately with the whole Marc Staal situation and I'm wondering if someone can shed some light on this....

to add to Chris QCT's question - does anyone know - when did the rule change?

I recall that, up to some point within the last 10 years or so, if a drafted player had played 3 full years at Major Junior, even if under 20, he COULD be signed and assigned to Minors. It seems that's no longer the case

Marc Staal is 'safe' from trade rumors for a while - the 'Canes sent Jack Johnson to LA today

Tonight's game is on radio with Islanders broadcasters on 1130AM :
"Steve Mears will make his Islanders radio debut along with long-time Islanders color analyst Chris King on Bloomberg 1130 AM. Pre-game starts at 7:00 pm followed by the post-game running until 30 minutes after the final whistle."

Crawford does a fine job calling the Pack games. Very much looking forward to hearing what he has to say. Any idea who his broadcast partner will be this season?

Hows about another HELL YA for BRANDON DUBINSKY???????

Let me tell you folks just how special scoring tonight must have been for the kid?

Bill Dubinsky the father of Brandon grew up a Ranger fan on Long Island.

Can you imagine just how special it must have been for his son to score the Ranger's only goal against the hated Islanders in front of the Dubinsky family?

Brandon is going to make it very tough on Renney not to keep him

I say find a way to keep Dubinsky and Dawes..
We have seen enough of Marcel..

Dubi, How do we ask questions for the 4th? I'm new at this. Rob
