Jagr and Rucinsky both skated in warm-ups before the game tonight. Jagr didn't skate much, but then he never does. He hung around the red line like he usually does, doing some light skating and stopping. Then he picked up a puck, did a little stickhandling, went in on net and took a light backhand shot, and then left the ice only about halfway through the session. Brodeur watched him leave. He must have been putting on an Academy Award performance, because it looked like he gave it a try and had to leave right away, but Perry Pearn just told MSGN that will play. Rucinsky skated full out, but then that was not a problem for him. Still, he's going to go too.
The FAN just said during a FLASH during the Mets game that Jagr will play?!?!?!?!?!

Well, it was fun while it lasted, no?
I'm not going to rant, but I was at MSG tonight and it was all downhill after the National Anthem. Seriously - I've rarely been to a game with less excitement and entertainment value. I swear to god I would have prefered to lose a 6-5 heartbreaker on a giveaway by Ozolinsh with 10 seconds to play than have to sit through a boring game like that again.
Dull, duller, dullest. Thanks New Jersey!
