ZABA-DABA-DO
The Wolf Pack have more insurance in the net. Matt Zaba has been recalled.

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned goaltender Matt Zaba to the Wolf Pack from the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.Zaba, a rookie signed by the Rangers as a free agent August 20, 2007 out of Colorado College, has yet to play a game in a Wolf Pack uniform, but dressed as the Pack’s backup for eight AHL contests this season. In nine ECHL games with the Charlotte Checkers, Zaba compiled a record of 3-4-0, with a 3.63 goals-against average and an .891 save percentage. Reassigned by the Rangers from Charlotte to Idaho January 11th, the 24-year-old Yorkton, Saskatchewan native was 12-4-1 in 19 regular-season appearances with the Steelheads, with a GAA of 2.19 and a save percentage .927, along with three shutouts. Zaba went 0-2 in two playoff appearances for Idaho, with six goals-against on 50 shots (2.78 GAA, .880 save percentage).
The Wolf Pack start their 11th straight trip to the Calder Cup playoffs tonight at the XL Center, with Game One of their best-of-seven Atlantic-Division Semifinal series against Kevin Dineen and the Portland Pirates. Faceoff is 7:00, and Game Two of the series is tomorrow night, Thursday, April 17th, also at the XL Center and also facing off at 7:00.
